A canned air duster is also needed for those areas that cannot be reached by the cloth. Another essential item to complete your SLR camera cleaning is a squeeze blower to eliminate dust from other areas of your camera.

The first step in cleaning camera is doing an ocular inspection of your gadget. Eradicate the dust and grime building up along the creases and cracks of your camera. Using the canned air duster, blow up all the dirt that can get through the vulnerable areas of your camera. The next thing to do in polishing your camera is to wipe the exterior with the use of the microfibre cloth. A microfibre cloth should be used because it is made of very fine fibres that do not scratch any surface it gets contact with. If you use another cloth, you might end up marking the viewfinder or the screen of your camera. Lastly, detach the lens of your camera and get rid of the accumulated dirt using the squeeze blower. You must be extremely careful so that you do not touch your camera's mirror. After making sure that all areas have been covered, keep your camera in its protective bag for storage.
