Creating a Home Photography Studio
It always brings a sense of nostalgia whenever people see pictures of special moments they have had. This makes pictures so timeless, special and so much a part of people's life. For those who really love taking pictures of anything and everything every chance they get, making the picture as lifelike as possible is something that is very important to them. So, having their own photography studio will really give the inspiration and motivation to be better at what they do. Having one is simple and does not really require that much investment.
Aside from a high quality digital camera that can produce professional looking pictures, the first thing that a home photography studio needs is enough space to accommodate everything that you want to include in it – equipment, materials, display room, etc. This space can be a spare bedroom, the basement, unused garage, attic, or even a corner in your own bedroom.
Most studios have different fabrics for background, but it can cost a lot. For this small studio, you can use a green screen instead, which is a lot cheaper. If you want to photograph large groups, you can buy a bigger size of green screen. You can hang or mount the green screen on a curtain, if it is small, or a background stand. If you want to go cheap, use the curtain rod and brackets to mount them to your wall. Now, that you have a green screen, you can easily choose backgrounds for every photograph you take without spending a lot compared to buying one. You will need image editor software on your computer to edit the background like changing the colour or even the setting.
Adequate lighting is very important to be able to get great portraits. Avoid lights that cause shadows in your photos. You can use 120 watt halogen bulbs and place them using slip on lights. You can then clip the lightings onto a furniture or tripod and placed strategically to get the perfect lighting effect.
You can also clear a wall and mount a large poster display or cork board where you can showcase all your works.
